POKER KNIGHTS
HOUSE RULES
A. All players must be of at least 21 years or older to play, unless the management of the bar allows younger patrons. The bar has this discretion provided they have are selling food and their kitchen is open. Once the kitchen closes, players MUST be 21 or older. ID may be required and checked. There is no buy-in or charge to play. It is not necessary, but it is recommended that you buy a drink of your choice in order to defray the cost the bar has put out in order to bring in this entertainment.
B. Players will be seated by random drawing of seating cards. Seating will be done on a first come, first served basis. Seating cards will be available upon arrival of Poker Knights representative. Once all cards are turned in, the host will pick one card at random and all players in that seat number will begin as dealer.
C. All players will begin each tournament session with $4025.00 in play chips. Blinds will start at $25-$50, and will increase every 10 minutes for the first session, and 12 minutes for the second session. As blinds go up,there will be periodic breaks and the lowest denomination of chip will be eliminated from play when not needed, and will be colored up. The tournament will end when one player has garnered all the chips in play.
D. We will play down to the last nine players and bring them to the final table. From there, the Poker Knight host will deal out the remainder of the tournament. It is up to the discretion of the Poker Knight Rep. to adjust the time on each round as he sees fit in order to finish the first session in a timely manner and get ready for the second session.
E. Poker Knights invokes the No dead seat button rules. Blind procedures will follow the tournament rules set forth by all major casinos. That is, no person shall deal twice in a row. Ever. Everybody must post their blinds in turn. And there must be two blinds after the dealer. For example: if the player who was going to be the small blind is eliminated, then the next two players shall both be big blinds. On the next hand, then the dealer will be a small blind, the person to his left is also a small blind, and the next person is the big blind. After that everything is back to normal. If a player who is to be the dealer is eliminated, then the person who is the small blind deals, and the next two players are big blinds. Then the above procedure is followed until the third hand, in which everything again is back to normal.
F. When play gets down to two players, the person due the button becomes the small blind.
G. Whenever a player wishes to raise the pot, he (or she) must double the bet in front of them. In other words, if the blind is $400, then the raise must be at least $800. The minimum bet at any time is whatever the big blind is for that round.
H. Players eliminated must leave the table so that an accurate count can be made at all times for player movement.
I. New players coming from another table must post a blind if they are coming in in the big blind positon. They cannot receive a hand in the small blind or dealer position. They must wait one hand for the deal to pass.
J. If a player is dealt in and he (or she) is not at the table when the action comes to them, their hand is folded. If they are in a blind postion, their blind is posted then the hand is folded.
K. If a dealer exposes a dealt card to a player, he shall continue to deal the remaining cards to all players, then replace the exposed card with another card. A player has no option to keep the exposed card. That card shall become the burn card. If two cards are exposed, then it is a misdeal, and a new shuffle is needed. If the dealer exposes the first card to either the small or the big blind, it is a misdeal and the cards are to be reshuffled and dealt.
L. Any player not able to meet a bet made, and wishes to play a hand, shall go "All in". He shall be able to win only the amount of money he has covered. Any remaining bets by other players shall create a side pot. He cannot win that pot. The side pot at conclusion of play will be awarded first, and then the main pot. When multiple side pots are created, please call the Poker Knight floor representative for help. When players go all-in, and there is no more action to be made, all players must turn their cards face up. If there is a split pot, and there is one remaining chip, it will go to the player who has the highest card of their hole cards. If two players has the same card (for examle, Queens) then it will go to the player who hold the highest Queen. This will be determined by alphabetical order...C,D, H, S.(Clubs -Diamonds-Hearts-Spades...with Spades being the highest suit).
M. One player per hand. Players shall not encourage another player on the action they should take on their hand. This is a discourtesy, and shall not be tolerated. All players are expected to act in a ladylike and gentlemanly fashion at all times. Poker etiquette is demanded. Any player showing anger or discourtesy towards another player will be asked to leave. If extremely abusive behavior is shown, that player will not be allowed back at any Poker Knight affiliation. Any player using profane language or whose intent is to confront or show aggressiveness to another player or Tournament host is subject to a ban of the night, a month or totally at that, or any other location that Poker Knights is the tournament host. The banishment is up to the discretion of the tournament host director. If a player is banished totally from any location, he shall forfeit any and all points that have been accrued for that quarterly session and not be allowed to play in the final tournament.
N. Verbal action is binding. If you announce raise, you will be required to raise the minumum bet. If you announce fold, your hand is dead. There are no string bets. If you wish to raise, announce raise, then place your bet, or come out with your raise all at once. You are not allowed to call a bet, then go back to your stack and raise. Check-raising is allowed.
